Religious Strife in Egypt

The article that I chose was about the religious strife in Egypt. In 2011, there was a bombing of a Christian church in Cairo that killed 21 people and wounded many others by a Muslim group of extremists. Also after that the Christians started to have violent riots in the streets. The problem in this religious conflict between two religions is the fact that they are extremists, which caused them to take extreme actions by bombing a church that was a different religion than theirs. Both of the extremes continued to clash, which made the conflict important to be stopped if Egypt wanted to have any peace. It made me realize that people will go to violent lengths to prove their point, which can result in death. The change that is needed in this situation is tolerance. Both religions need to respect and tolerate the other even if they do not agree on some aspects of the religion. I chose this article because it was the first I came upon but also because I remember hearing about Egypt on the news many times last year.
